Indiana Jones/Treasure Seekers Skit

I am finally figuring out how to post videos.  Here is the Indiana Jones skit from girl's camp.  You need to scroll to the bottom of the blog to pause the blog music so you can hear the song.  And sorry I am laughing so loud in the recording...next time I'll have to try to control myself!  And learn to zoom in - it's not very good videography - but you get the idea, plus it's just fun to remember camp!

Hair and Beauty Night

Emily Riboldi orgnaized a hair and beauty night and tied it in with the beauty of her ancestors.  She researched some of her great grandmothers and told how they were women of integrity and that made them beautiful.  Cristin Jones gave the girls some quick and easy tips on hair care and up-does.  Here Abby is getting a scalp treatment - Hollie is learning how to do it and finishes up on Abby.

Skye getting her bangs trimmed - love that cute smile!

Now it's Hollie's turn for some scalp fun.

Summer and the "before picture".  She is our lucky model for an up-do.

Kortnee was thrilled I took a picture of her getting her scalp treatment.  Good times!

 The finished product - beautiful!

Paige working on Megan - check out all that hair!

We had a great night and I love that our girls are willing to do some wacky things and have it documented.  We have a wonderful YW group!!

Tunnels and Tabernacle

Here are the pictures from our fabulous tour of the tunnels and tabernacle.  I am so glad we got this opportunity and now it is fun to think about the prophet riding around on his golf cart from one building to the other in the tunnels.  Thanks for being great girls while on the tour.  I sure love you!

Personal Progress Around the World

Here is the yw I told you about from El Salvador.  She was sitting behind me at the Youth Cultural Celebration.  I noticed she had on a Young Womanhood Medallion and so of course I had to talk to her.  (Or rather vault over two sections of seats and then talk to her in a really loud English - which she did not understand!  Luckily my sisters speak Spanish and could interpret for the crazy white lady...)

Anyway, I just think it's pretty amazing that Young Women all over the world are working on the same personal progress program and earning the same medallion.   She had worked very hard and was proud she had earned it.

I love you girls and I know Personal Progress is an inspired program.  Here's to renewing our efforts and getting excited about Personal Progress!

Love you!
